General Sports InformationAt Cedar Grove children enjoy opportunities to develop their physical skills as well as academic abilities. Beginning in Preschool, children take part in a variety of group games, exercise activities, and outdoor play. Lower School and Middle School students are involved in a weekly physical education program designed to introduce sports, games, and life-time skills such as teamwork, self-discipline, and sportsmanship. Students take part in health education classes intended to help them understand the human body and promote ways to stay healthy and strong. A variety of sports, clubs, and teams are available to Lower and Middle School students. Boys and Girls Basketball teams, Boys and Girls Outdoor Soccer teams, Co-ed softball, Track, and volleyball are some of the programs. CGCA also offers indoor soccer and basketball programs both competitive and intra-mural. Each of the clubs and interscholastic teams help build endurance, flexibility, and coordination.
